Terms of Service

Last updated 6 August 2026

Plain-language terms for a product about plain language. Your content is yours, we don't sell it, and the list of things that get you removed is deliberately short.

This is a template. It describes how Humanverse is designed to work, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not legal advice. Have counsel review it before you rely on it in production.

1. Joining the waitlist

Submitting your email address puts you on a list to be invited to the private beta. It is not a purchase, it does not create an account, and it does not guarantee access on any particular timeline. You can leave the list at any time.

2. Your content is yours

Everything you post on Humanverse remains yours. You grant us only the narrow licence needed to store your posts and display them to the audience you selected: public, a circle, or under a pseudonym. That licence ends when you delete the post.

We will not use your posts to train models, we will not license them to third parties, and we will not surface them in advertising. If that position ever changes, it will change with advance notice and an opt-in, not a quiet terms update.

3. What will get you removed

The list is deliberately short. Harassment of another person, posting someone else's private information, impersonating a real person, and content that is illegal where you or we are located.

Notably absent: being negative, being wrong, being unprofessional, or criticising an employer. Those are not violations here. That is the entire point of the product.

4. Anonymity is not immunity

Anonymous mode protects you from your employer and your network, not from the rules above. Abuse reports operate on the pseudonym, and a pseudonym can be suspended exactly like a named account.

5. Availability

This is a private beta. Things will break, features will be removed, and there may be downtime without notice. We provide the service as-is and without warranty during the beta period.

We will give at least 30 days' notice, and an export of everything you have written, before any permanent shutdown.

6. Pricing

The core product is free and is intended to stay free. If we later charge for optional capabilities (larger private circles, organisation accounts), existing functionality will not move behind that paywall retroactively.

We do not run advertising. Nobody's feed will contain something they did not ask to see.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion removes your posts, your reactions and your account record. Anonymous posts, being decoupled from your account by design, must be deleted individually before you close it. We cannot find them for you afterwards.

8. Governing terms

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is registered. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
